Getting Started with Dictation Daddy

Install on your platform

Dictation Daddy is available on three platforms. Pick the one that fits your workflow.

Desktop (macOS and Windows)

Download the desktop app from our website. After installing, set a global hotkey in the settings. Press the hotkey anywhere on your computer and start speaking. Your transcribed text will be typed into whatever app you have focused.

Chrome Extension

Install the extension from the Chrome Web Store. Click the extension icon or use the keyboard shortcut to start dictating into any text field on any webpage.

Android

Download from Google Play. Dictation Daddy works as an input method, so you can use it as your keyboard in any app.

Tips for accurate transcription

• Speak clearly and at a natural pace
• Use a decent microphone for best results
• Pause briefly between sentences for better punctuation
• Say punctuation marks explicitly if automatic detection is not working
