Setting Up Your Philips SpeechMic: Quick Guide

Step 1: Set Dictation Software Shortcut

Open dictation software Settings → Controls

Set External Control to Ctrl + Shift + D

Step 2: Configure SpeechMic in Philips SpeechControl

Open Philips SpeechControl software

Go to Button configuration

Select Button: Record

Set:

• Button type: Hotkey
• Key code identifier: D
• Key character: d
• Modifiers: ✓ Control ✓ Shift

Click OK

Step 3: Upload Settings to Device (CRITICAL)

Click the Upload button in SpeechControl toolbar

Without this step, your settings won't transfer to the SpeechMic.

Software Name: Philips SpeechControl - The Windows configuration software for SpeechMic devices

Test

1. Press Record button on SpeechMic
2. Dictation should start
3. Press again to stop

If Not Working

• Verify shortcuts match exactly
• Confirm you clicked Upload
• Check status shows "Ready"
• Restart both applications
