Say it, and it is typed that way
Speak these commands while you dictate and Dictation Daddy turns them into punctuation, paragraphs, brackets and capitals. Every command on this page was tested on real dictations and converts reliably. They work in Mac, Windows, Chrome and Android, in any app you dictate into.
You do not have to say punctuation
Dictation Daddy adds commas, periods and question marks on its own. Use commands when you want a mark in a specific place.
Talk at your normal pace
No pause is needed before or after a command. Say it inline, the same way you would read the sentence aloud.
Words stay words when you mean them
Dictation Daddy reads commands from how you use them. "The car came to a full stop" keeps the words full stop.

Say the mark right where it belongs. The command word never appears in your text.

Questions
Do I need to say punctuation out loud in Dictation Daddy?
No. Dictation Daddy punctuates your speech automatically. Spoken commands are there for when you want a mark in an exact place, such as a colon after a heading or a new paragraph in an email.
What happens if I say a command word as part of a sentence?
Dictation Daddy reads the words around it. A phrase like "came to a full stop" or "a question mark over the plan" stays as words instead of turning into a symbol.
Why is a command I use not on this list?
This page only lists commands that convert reliably when tested on real dictations. Other commands may work, but we add them here once they pass the same bar.
